| 8-6-08 Douglas and Andrew Weather has been terrible to say the least with low-pressure systems stalling over the region creating thunderstorms, rain, and foggy conditions. We had a window of opportunity in the morning before the rain was predicted to start so at 0600 we were off. Found some macks off Scarborough Beach and Andrew began hammering them with the Sabiki tree as Doug contributed with the single lure “Hollywood” rod. Loaded up the livewell and headed to the rocks. Tons of weeds in the water made things difficult but had takes as soon as the first macks hit the water. The fish were tentative playing cat and mouse with the macks but the guys managed to hook a few and lost some but each put a slot fish in the boat. We had plenty of takes but with all the weed wrapped around the line and the fish being tentative, it was hard to hook them. Rain began around 1000 and really came down hard at 1100. By the time we got back to the Co-op Doug was soaked (Andrew managed to snag my rain coat which kept his upper body dry at least). Doug and Andrew are repeat customers and good guys to have onboard. Andrew’s skills improve each year and I am happy they brought home 2 nice bass for dinner.
